St. Mary Catholic Church
Blessings & Prayers Offered
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ:
Our Catholic faith is rich in providing God’s blessings and grace to us and indeed for all of his creation. Our prayer tradition teaches us that He listens to those who pray earnestly for the needs of our sisters and brothers and even for ourselves. By such actions God’s presence is among us. We know He is as close to us as the wind on our face, the smell of spring in our nostrils, and the growth of plants and animals to our eyes.
We propose to recognize and enhance our understanding of God’s closeness to us and our families and where we live by offering such blessings and/or prayers. A Priest/Deacon will come to your home/farm and provide a blessing and/or prayer service as appropriate. The Priest/Deacon will offer to bless anything that God has made or caused to be produced. He will offer prayers for anything that you want to offer up to God; praise, blessing, petition, intercession or thanksgiving.
If you are interested in having such a blessing or prayer, we invite you to contact Deacon Dan Freeman at 563-320-2462 or wiltonstmary@diodav.org. We also encourage those seeking a blessing or prayer to invite their family and friends to celebrate and share in the blessing or prayer that they have requested for their Domestic Church.
